Reading of the week: Vasil Bykau “The Wolf Pack”

“In the forests of Belarus in 1942 a group of disabled partisans makes its way to a medical unit while being pursued by traitorous partisans, German soldiers, and vicious dogs. Like all of Bykov’s stories, “Pack of Wolves” addresses the humanity of the characters as they struggle with inhumane circumstances.”
